The mind wanders...
It's 4am,
It's 4am,
You roam around with the happiest bunch,
A dream month, started off with no expectations so that there would be no disappointments. Exams, assignments and what not to stress me out. Same everyday overthinking and the usual feeling of missing friends. But something clicked, broke the monotony. The frustrating exams and assignments took a little different turn. Helping people out, making new friends, socialising, spending time outside my room, everything brought out a hidden extrovert, a total different person. Talking with every person I run into, laughing about random shit with anyone who'll laugh with me. Making typical college life plans and executing school mei kiye hue college life ke plans. Not a minute spent sitting idle, jumping from one place to another, doing everything I dreamt of when I thought about college for the last two years and enjoying every minute of it. No hug felt awkward and no conversation felt unwanted. Countless group of friends, not worried about disappointing anyone, not scared of losing anyone. Didn't need it but always knew that I had people to fall back on, to shed a tear or just to rant every little thing happening in my life. So many hours of phone calls, throughout the day and till late at night, talking about everything from studies to catching up with absolutely anyone who would call. A shitload of photos taken, Monday blacks, college Diwali photos, typical Diwali Sarasbaug photos, absolutely no reason photos, meeting after so many days photos, embarassing photos, birthday pe story pe dalunga photos, aj kuch acha pehna hai photos, I bought a camera photos, individual photos, group photos and what not... But one thing's for sure, each and every smile was genuine, from the bottom of my heart... Because I realised that I have so many people to be happy around...
Times change, moments pass,
These 365 days felt a little longer. Too many happenings, brand new people and a flurry of thoughts and emotions made it feel like twice the year it was. From the first month to the last a core memory created and a heartfelt moment lived. Everyday a different group of friends that made every minute worth remembering. A gallery full of good photos and countless deleted ones. The first late night two-wheeler ride with the same friends that you used to cycle with. Fancy dinners with the same people you had cutting chai with. Tight hugs after hours of talks and gossips, loudest of laughs after the most ominous conversations.
